LONDON (Reuters) – Britain’s opposition Labour Social gathering needs the federal government’s Brexit Withdrawal Settlement Invoice to incorporate a public vote when it’s introduced to lawmakers once more subsequent month, its Brexit spokesman Keir Starmer mentioned on Saturday.
After failing to get parliament’s approval thrice for Prime Minister Theresa Could’s Brexit deal, the federal government will now put the invoice, laws which is able to enact that deal, earlier than parliament for a vote in early June.
“The government ought to seriously consider putting a public vote on the face of the bill to break the impasse,” Starmer instructed BBC radio.
“But what we can’t do is just keep on buying another week at a time, which is what the prime minister’s been doing for months,” he mentioned.
